How to change the pitch of a song

  1. Drop the audio file. MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, FLAC or a video.
  2. Choose the shift. Semitones from −12 to +12. One octave is twelve semitones.
  3. Apply and download. The audio is pitch-shifted on your device and encoded in the format you choose.

Questions people ask

Does the length change?

No. The pitch shifter stretches the audio and resamples it so the duration stays exactly the same.

How much can I shift without artefacts?

Two or three semitones are usually transparent. Larger shifts start to sound processed, especially on voices; that is inherent to pitch shifting.

How do I change the key of a song?

Count the semitones between the original key and the target key. C to D is two semitones up; C to A is three down.
