Is there a time limit?
No. Recordings are encoded as they happen, so the limit is your free memory. An hour of 1080p screen recording is around a gigabyte.
Can it record system audio?
On Windows and Chrome OS, Chrome and Edge can capture the whole screen’s audio; on macOS only tab audio can be captured. Tick “Share audio” in the picker.
Why MP4 instead of WebM?
Most online recorders produce WebM, which many apps and phones cannot open. Because the recording is encoded by your hardware, it is written as MP4 with H.264 wherever the browser supports it.
Does it work on phones?
Screen capture in the browser is desktop-only. On a phone use the webcam or voice recorder, or the built-in screen recorder of the phone.
