Questions people ask
Why convert a GIF to a video?
A GIF stores every frame as a full image with 256 colours. The same animation as an H.264 MP4 is typically five to twenty times smaller, plays smoothly and can be posted on platforms that reject GIFs.
Why does my result have an even width and height?
Video encoders need even dimensions. The frame is padded by a pixel where needed, using the background colour.
Can I make the video longer than the GIF?
Yes. Set the number of repeats; some platforms require a minimum length of a few seconds.
