Is the cut frame-accurate?
Yes. Video can only be decoded from a keyframe, which may sit several seconds before the moment you chose, so the tool decodes from there and re-encodes the frames you keep. The clip starts and ends exactly where you set the handles.
Does trimming reduce quality?
If you only cut the end, the video stream is copied byte for byte and nothing is lost. If the start moves, the kept part is re-encoded at a bitrate matched to the original, so any difference is very hard to spot. For a smaller file, run the result through the compress tool afterwards.
Can I trim audio files too?
Yes. Drop an MP3, WAV, M4A or OGG file and the same timeline appears. The cut is saved in the same audio format.
How long can the video be?
